Sales And The Flywheel Effect: Don't Make This Common Mistake!

A Flywheel is a mechanical device which is designed to store kinetic energy and smooth out the power of an engine. They are typically made of very dense metal that takes a lot of energy to get moving. But, once they have momentum, that density and weight works to keep the engine running smoothly.

Just like a flywheel, sales requires a LOT of energy to get moving initially but, once the momentum is in place, the energy required to keep it moving is diminished. The key is to constantly apply energy to maintain the momentum. Once you reduce that energy or stop applying it, Sales, like a flywheel, begins to lose speed. If you ignore it too long, you will have to apply copious amounts of energy to get it moving once again.

In economic downturns, many business leaders will make the significant mistake of reducing their investment in Sales and Marketing. This is such a bad move at ANY time, but especially in challenging economic conditions because the momentum of that flywheel will diminish even faster than it normally would. The outcomes of that reduced momentum can be devastating to your business very quickly.

The best you can hope for is to weather the storm but, even then, you will have to apply exponentially more energy to get it moving again on the other side.

Altezza can keep sales momentum flowing and growing in a cost effective fashion. Could that be a good option for you? Let's talk!
